Bakery / Cafe Associate - must work early morning hours and weekends.
Shift Times are approx 2:30am to 11:30pm - NOTE: must be able to work weekends
BOH staff to work in production of pastries, breads and cakes.
- Passionate about Baking, cakes and pastries
- Prepare fruit, syrup, fillings and icing cream for cakes and pastries
- Sand, ice and decorate cakes following recipes and designs
- Basic arithmetic ability and weight/length measurement capability
- Knowledge of food safety
- Able to lift over 30lb as part of daily task
- Responsible for assembling, placing toppings, and decorating on needed pastries and bread
- Preparing all needed materials and ingredients
- Sanitation procedures, maintaining overall cleanliness of workstation and kitchen
- Must be able to prioritize and finish all tasks assigned
- Receive, stock, and store food in designated containers and storage areas in an organized manner
- Inform supervisors when equipment is not working properly and manage when food supplies are getting low
- Complete various reports for records such as production, usage, and waste
- Knowledge of food producing process, sanitation, quality program
- Knowledge of food-producing technique, food microbiology, and food sanitary safety practice/procedure
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Food safety, food labeling, nutrition-related knowledge (include FDA)
- Ability to multi-task
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of cake display area
- Receive, stock, and store needed items in designated containers and storage areas in an organized manner
- Practice sanitation procedures and maintain overall cleanliness of workstation
- Must be able to manage time with strong organization skills
- Must be able to meet deadlines and prepare customized orders (special holidays or event cakes)
- General knowledge of production methods and organization of Confectionery production
- Learn new products and skills and have the ability to demonstrate proper techniques to new cake staff
- Ensure cake display is presentable for internal and external customers

- Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
