**Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing mental health counseling and therapy services to individuals in various settings. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.
**Duties:**
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as psychotherapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
- Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients to address their mental health needs.
- Provide counseling and support to patients dealing with a wide range of mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to offer virtual therapy sessions when necessary.
- Work with diverse populations, including geriatric patients, individuals with special education needs, and those seeking Christian counseling.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
**Experience:**
- Previous experience in mental health counseling, psychotherapy, or related fields.
- Familiarity with dance therapy, patient care techniques, and individual/group counseling approaches.
- Knowledge of geriatrics, telehealth practices, and mental health assessment tools.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
- MUST BE LICENSED IN MARYLAND and/or Washington, DC.
- Experience working with diverse populations and demonstrating cultural sensitivity.
