Primary Function:
Maintaining cleanliness and order, and promoting a healthy and safe environment for students and school employees through regular maintenance of the school’s facilities.
Requirements:
Educational Level: Basic literacy and reasoning skills.
Certification/Licensing: None.
Proficiency Skills: Ability to organize. Basic written and oral communication and basic math skills.
Personal Skills: Ability to lift materials and equipment weighing a maximum of 75 pounds. Pleasant personality, cooperative attitude, physical skills and stamina to perform essential duties.
Salary: CCSS Classified Salary Schedule – A08 (start pay 12.87, steps awarded with verifiable experience), 240 work days, 10 paid vacation days. Essential Duties: When used as an evaluation instrument the evaluator is to mark each item by circling S for tasks in which the employee meets or exceeds expectations and NI for tasks in which the employee has not met expectations. The primary reason for this evaluation is to promote growth of the employee necessary to fulfill these expectations.
GENERAL

11.Demonstrates proficiency in the use of equipment and supplies as appropriate for job assignment.
12.Performs minor equipment repairs and maintenance when necessary.
13.Installs equipment in classrooms as required (pencil sharpeners).
14.Maintains designated areas in a neat, sanitary and orderly manner.
15.Restocks supplies when necessary.
16.Performs grounds-keeping tasks as designated by supervisor.
17.Locates, procures, operates and returns needed equipment and materials required to complete assigned tasks.
18.Ensures security and accountability for equipment and supplies.
19.Demonstrates loyalty to the school system and administrators.
20.Enhances the climate of the building and the morale of colleagues.
21.Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
