Job Overview:
We are seeking a Front Desk Agent to join our team at a medical facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to patients and staff. YOU MUST BE VERY FAMILAR WITH HEALTH INSURANCE, COPAYS AND DEDUCTIBLES.
Duties:
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify insurance information and collect co-payments *************
- Maintain patient records accurately in electronic health record systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Handle billing inquiries and process payments
- Keep the front desk area clean and organized
Experience:
- Prior experience in a medical setting such as clinic is required.
- Proficiency in using office equipment and computer software
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
