We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee and manage our warehousing operations across multiple service lines at our Pensacola, Florida location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing, and organization of a wide variety of products. You will manage a team of warehouse staff and be a working manager who leads by example, actively participating in day-to-day operations. This skilled multitasker will manage the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities of our commercial warehousing team in addition to supporting the warehouses of the confidential destruction and records management service lines. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented and able to manage multiple facets of warehouse operations simultaneously while exercising sound independent decision making.

The Warehouse Manager will support Gilmore’s policies and procedures ensuring all employees provide outstanding customer service, are knowledgeable, courteous, welcoming, friendly and assist patrons in accessing and obtaining the materials, information, and services they are seeking. Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals
- Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods
- Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
- Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
- Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations
- Actively manage daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
- Schedule and oversee warehouse team, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
· Participate in day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
· Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as necessary.
· Assist in training new hires and providing ongoing training to current staff.
· Address and resolve operational issues promptly and efficiently.
· Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including inventory levels, shipments, and employee performance
· Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse operations to senior management
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed
- Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance when necessary
- Meet regularly with warehouse personnel to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing regulations and standards
- Controls inventory by conducting physical counts and reconciles with data storage system
- Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing regular facility care controls
- Improves team performance by coaching, counseling, and discipling employees
- Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork and high morale
- Ensure that all team members adhere to company policies and safety procedures
- Identify areas for improvement within warehousing processes and implement effective solutions
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Verify equipment maintenance logs are kept and all necessary services are performed
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to monitor performance and identify trends
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to meet customer expectations and resolve any issues

Education and Typical Years of Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a management role within the document management, shredding, warehousing, or related industries is preferred.
Special Requirements:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Detail oriented and organized

Physical Demands and Working Environment

Environment: Constant contact with staff and public. Work is performed mostly outdoors in 80-100 degree heat; work is performed indoors only long enough to gather office products for shredding.
Physical: Requires constant (67% - 100% of the time) standing, walking and bending for long periods of time. Requires constant movement about an office building, the carrying of office materials for up to 60 yards and up and down stairs. Requires frequent (34% - 66% of the time) safe lifting of office products both loose and bagged (up to 150 lbs. with assistance) and movement of containers on wheels (up to 300 lbs.) When the weight, shape, or size of an object makes the job too much for one person, ask for assistance. Requires physical conditioning which complies with DOT standards.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
