Looking for your next challenge? REI is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to provide technical thought leadership and management of a complex program. Successful candidates will be able to support REI's growth strategy, competence development, and capacity building endeavors. The position enables REI to meet near-term new business goals through a combination of competitive and noncompetitive pursuits. It also contributes toward REI's long-term strategy to organically acquire and retain customers and talent and expand its portfolio of offerings to create new customers.
Responsibilities:
Develop Persuasive and Competitive Solutions for REI's Growth (Capture/Proposals)

Serve as a Solutions Architect throughout the capture and active proposal phases – leading the creation of compelling solutions

Generate Thought Leadership, blogs, and articles pertaining to specific Growth Opportunities by working with Marketing, REI Account, and Offering teams. This could include Application Modernization, Cloud, Data Analytics, and other competency areas highlighted for a bid.

Lead responses to market research (Request for Information) activities

Represent REI's complete suite of offerings and competencies in the market – through customer demonstrations, capability presentations, and Participate in the creation of Proof of Concepts (POCs)

Support decision-making for lead identification and qualification

Manage and strengthen vendor and strategic partnerships
-
Foster internal REI relationships and mentor senior technical staff
Identify and Exploit New Technologies for New and Existing Clients (Technology, Process, Tools, Platforms, Standards)

Understand, contribute to, and maintain technology radars in relevant context (market, accounts, portfolios)

Experience in aligning strategy and technology to meet organizational business objectives.

Presents proposals to senior government officials or technical governance board in a clear and compelling way

Recommend pragmatic adoption strategies

Analyze available technologies and makes recommendations of technologies to use and how best to use them

Present advice inside and outside REI

Drive REI’s Innovation backlog and contribute to REI's Technology strategy
Promote REI's Brand in the Industry for Trusted Advice (Marketing, Thought Leadership)

Work with marketing, accounts, and offerings to provide thought leadership

Be a recognized thought leader in industry (must contribute individually)

Influence customers, employees, and partners

Represent REI's complete suite of offerings and competencies in the market
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
-
Delivery experience in enterprise-scale software and data platforms for Federal agencies
-
Familiarity with multiple technology stacks, including low-code platforms
-
Leadership experience in technical proposal generation
-
Capture and Sales support experience in the U.S. Federal, State, and Local public sector
-
Experience in end-to-end solution development lifecycle and agile methodologies
-
Expertise in cloud services supporting identity management, microservice and event-driven architectures and databases
-
Experience with modern delivery frameworks, such as Agile, DevSecOps, and integrated Human-Centered Design
-
Familiarity with latest industry trends related to Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence

Participation in an industry such as ACT-IAC, ATARC, AFCEA or similar
-
Demonstrated ability to keep pace with emerging technologies, application modernization, and digital transformation trends
Required Qualifications
-
Demonstrated continued learning through one or more technical certifications or related methods
-
At least 15 years of relevant experience; two years may be substituted for a master's degree
-
At least one professional-level certification in a cloud platform like AWS
-
Able to lead technical teams developing solutions for pre-Sales and proposals

Able to manage and meet proposal deadlines for the team

Able to write and present persuasively

Able to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders

Able to react based on new information, peer reviews, and feedback
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (Master's degree is a plus).
Clearance: US Citizenship required.
