Wilson Farm Meats is a federally inspected butcher plant that specializes in custom cut beef for local farmers and Wilson's heritage hogs.
The meat wrapper/packer is responsible for handling meat and meat products. Wrapper/packer will weigh, wrap, slice, price, and label all meat products, as well as stock shelves, manage inventory and maintain a clean work area.
- Will slice and package bacon and beef sticks
- Will be able to identify all cuts of meat
- Operates various production equipment in the processing of meat products which includes packaging, slicing, labeling
- Learn how to properly wrap meat
- Maintain proper sanitary conditions to include cleaning and sanitizing of all work surfaces, utensils, and equipment. Cleaning during and after the shift.
- Follow work procedures and company's critical control points according to company HACCP plan.
- Fill in positions and areas as necessary
- Performs various other production duties as assigned by management.
