JOB PURPOSE:
Organizes and directs nursing care staff by establishing objectives and standards as well as the organizational structure for achieving those objectives in an Assisted Living Community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize and direct nursing care staff. Ensure completion of mandatory in-service requirements. Monitor licensing to insure all staff is current. Provide staff with performance management and consistent feedback.
- Supervise plan of care for each resident and ensure staff are aware of and follow assignments accordingly.
- Remain current with EOEA regulations and develop and update policies and procedures as required.
- Work with and communicates effectively with physicians, outside private duty agencies and family members to ensure resident wellness and safety.
- Provide in-service programs to staff as needed and in accordance with EOEA requirements.
- Maintain documentation of incident reports, resident assessments, service plans, 30 day reviews and introductory visit forms.
- Develop statistics for CQI and actively participate in the program.
- Acts as Executive Director in their absence when needed
- Provides pre-occupancy assessment on all potential residents and communicates with Director of Marketing and Executive Director the results to collaboratively create action plan.
- Conduct medication audits and c.n.a. skill assessments according to schedule.
- Provide orientation to new residents and provide Introductory Visits with care staff.
- Participates in community events.
- Applies "5 Star" customer service approach in all aspects of job.
- Committed to working with residents and families to develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care.
- Actively supports Wingate's commitment to providing "5 Star" service on all quality objectives, with an emphasis on continual improvement.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
- Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- RN or LPN License required.
- Minimum 2 supervision experience in an assisted living community preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication and organizational skills required.
- Knowledge of and Department of Elder Affairs standards preferred but not required..
SUPERVISION OF OTHERS: Supervises care staff.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
