Merchandiser Associate Job Description Summary
Under the Supervision of the Head Merchandiser, a Merchandising Associate is responsible for providing an excellent in-store experience for customers by ensuring their responsible departments are well stocked, displayed, signed, and visually appealing. This position aims to use visual merchandising to drive branding, support inventory management, meet sales objectives, and maximize profitability.
Pay: $12-$16/hr
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Supports a culture within the Merchandising Team that ensures radical customer service and high performance is the focus of all activities. Greatness at Eagle Eye Outfitters is defined by one's ability to serve others internally and externally.
- Provide quality and accurate work, achieve goals of the Merchandising Department, and ensure the customer is at the center of every decision made.
- Arrange and maintain attractive visual presentations. Follow a floor plan and directive of Head Merchandiser to merchandise an area in preparation for seasonal changes and special events.
- Create and maintain store fixture and mannequin presentations.
- Maintain and present visual displays compellingly and excitingly under directives (written or verbal) from the Head Merchandiser.
- Implement store signage programs
- Continuous assessment of sales floor to ensure proper merchandise presentation. Perform general housekeeping to include straightening of products. Rotate product periodically on fixtures and displays to maximize style exposure.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of fixture storage/workroom.
- Keep track of prop inventory and reports needs/discrepancies to the Head Merchandiser.
- Execute promotional and floor change calendar seamlessly and efficiently
- Assist with special projects and events as assigned. Assist with marketing photo and video shoots, as needed.
- Comply with inventory control procedures and company standards.
- Knowledgeable of and adherence to all store safety procedures.
- Peer to Peer Accountability. Serve co-workers and willing to have courageous conversations as needed for each other's individual development and growth.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Specific Education/Experience Requirements:
- High school degree/equivalent or more. Additional educational training in visual retail design/merchandising is preferred but not required.
- Proven work experience in merchandise presentation, visual presentation, or retail stock experience is preferred.
Job Specific Schedule Requirements:
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- 5-day work week with primarily 8 to 9-hour shifts.
- One to two Saturday shifts per month with a minimum of one Saturday off per month, excluding key dates and the month of December.
- Eagle Eye Outfitters is closed every Sunday.
