Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeon during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all surgical equipment is sterile and ready for use.
- Maintain a clean and organized surgical environment before, during, and after procedures.
- Handle medical records accurately and ensure patient information is up-to-date.
- Utilize 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment to assist in surgical planning.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
- Provide support in various surgical specialties including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and pediatrics.
- Utilize Carestream software for efficient management of patient data.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques to prevent infections and maintain a sterile environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Surgical Assistant or similar role in a medical setting.
- Knowledge of Carestream software and proficiency in dental receptionist duties is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Certification in taking x-rays or completion of a related program is preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
