Job Description:
This is an ideal position for a paralegal/legal assistant with case database management experience. Experience in NextPoint document software preferred, but not required. This role requires strong interpersonal skills. Professionalism and confidentiality are required. Strong oral and written communications as well as ability to provide excellent customer service are required.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth legal research using Westlaw and other relevant resources.
- Draft and edit legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Assist in preparing legal briefs, memoranda, and presentations.
- Manage, maintain, and organize legal database, files, and documents.
- Provide administrative support to executives and legal teams, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings.
- Reviewing court orders and records
- Organizing and coding documents
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, with a focus on executive support.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Proficiency in using Westlaw and other legal research tools.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with case management software.
- Knowledge of court procedures and filing requirements.
- Previous experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
