POSITION SUMMARY:
- Apply your understanding of tax and accounting theories and procedures on client engagements
- Identify and resolve client tax and accounting issues
- Prepare & review medium/advanced complexity tax returns for individual, trust, corporate, partnership & foreign tax clients
- Research & consult on various tax matters utilizing tax related research software
- Respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, clients and tight deadlines
- Develop & maintain client relationships, including involvement in business development and civic activities
- Ability to supervise/manage & train/mentor other staff
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, clients and tight deadlines
- Assist partner with client operational & control opportunities and client presentations
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong computer skills and excellent verbal, written & presentation skills
- Attend CPE and training sessions on a regular basis
- Perform other job-related duties as necessary
- Ability to work additional hours as needed
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- CPA certificate
- 4+ years public accounting experience
- Strong proficiency in Federal & State taxes
- Strong audit skills with proficiency in US GAAP, OCBOA
- Self starter
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
- Highly skilled in utilizing computer applications
