GEOTECHNICAL STAFF ENGINEER
Location: Englewood, CO
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting visual classification of soil and bedrock specimens
- Orchestrating laboratory tests on selected samples to comprehensively assess subsurface conditions, enabling recommendations for development, pavement, and foundation strategies
- Executing settlement analysis, calculating bearing capacity, determining lateral earth pressure, conducting slope stability assessments, and designing retaining walls
- Drafting geotechnical engineering reports tailored for residential, commercial, industrial, and educational projects
- Undertaking on-site inspections for various projects, involving day-trip travel only
- Overseeing multiple projects and clientele across the Front Range area
- Facilitating communication among clients, contractors, architects, municipalities, and fellow engineers
- Providing mentorship and training to staff engineers and drilling technicians
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- EIT Certification
- 1-5 years of Geotechnical Engineering or related experience
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record, Background Check and Drug Test
