BILLING AND CREDENTIALING SPECIALIST
Position Description:
We are looking for a Billing and Credentialing Specialist to join our Team!
The Billing and Credentialing Specialist is responsible for assisting with all aspects of Credentialing providers and contracting for the agency. Collections process will be part of the daily/weekly job duties as well as but not limited to speaking with insurance companies’ daily entry of data, insurance eligibilities, prior authorizations, payment posting and claims work. Some additional responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
1. Assist with updating CAQH database for providers
2. Assist with updating various insurance carriers as needed for providers
3. Assist with adding providers to various insurance carriers as needed
4. Assist with maintaining provider credentialing with agency as needed
5. Assist with agency contract applications/revalidations when needed
6. Management of client Collections weekly notice letters
7. Management of weekly client debt communication list to front offices
8. Document all collection contact attempts in Credible as per workflow
Education, Experience, Skills, Training:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills and computer skills. At least one year of experience working in a medical office setting preferred. Must be able to obtain Act 33, Act 34 and FBI clearances.
