Grill Cook/Prep Cook/Food Service Worker
-Operates mechanical cooking equipment such as mixers, slicers, fryers, grills and ovens.
-Sets up and maintains food preparation, serving, and merchandising according to standards set.
-Prepares food using recipes generated from the menu management system or as directed by production manager.
-Helps to produce food and ensure station is ready to meet specific timelines. Shows appropriate level of urgency and productivity.
-Practices proper holding and batch cooking techniques.
-Ensures proper storage/labeling/ and rotation of inventories in refrigerators and freezers.
-Able to convert measurements and quantities
-Assists with completion of production records. Help to train others
-Responds to customer requests regarding dietary needs and is knowledgeable of alternative options.
-Able to check food stocks prior to meal and assesses leftovers for future meals.
-Has ability to analyze situations and come up with possible solutions without guidance.
-Takes the lead in meal planning by helping other cooks in use of leftovers, special events, substitutions, cooking techniques, etc.
-Demonstrates the ability to follow and or interpret oral and written directions.
-Able to accept new challenges and strives to take things to next level.
-Understands, abides by and interprets polices established and set forth by Campus Dining.
-Maintains appropriate attendance level.
-Work cohesively with individuals from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
-Effectively trains and supervises students and other cooks in all aspects of the area.
-Develops relationships throughout the location based on cooperation, respect and trust.
-Rewards and recognizes team for great results and supports others in accomplishing goals thru team work.
-Has ability to be flexible and is open to new ideas and change.
-Observes and test food being cooked by tasting, smelling and taking temperatures. Takes initiative to correct problems/concerns. Observes all stations quality.

-Performs all sanitation duties that are required with regard to work and service areas, equipment, and utensils according to standards set.
