Position Purpose: The Church Office Administrator shall assist the Pastor and program staff in administering the total ministry of the congregation. The employee shall maintain a positive working relationship with the staff, present a positive attitude to the congregation and the public.

Classification: Non-exempt, permanent, part time, position
Responsible to: The Church Office Administrator is under the direct supervision of the Pastor. All employees are subject to the authority of the Session in personnel matters and compensation.
Staffing Role: None, except as requested by the Pastor or the Session
Basic Responsibilities:
1. Serves as receptionist, which includes answering the phone during office hours and greeting members and visitors who come to the office and appropriately assisting them.
2. Schedules appointments, keep files current, maintain confidentiality in any and all sensitive situations, alert the Pastor to special needs, prepare correspondence.
3. Acts as office manager, which includes preparing all worship bulletins, compiling and editing Presbyts, overseeing the maintenance of office equipment, assembling minutes and communications for boards and committees., preparing and processing all bills in coordination with the Bookkeeper.
4. Coordinates activities related to the church office, including ordering materials requested by staff or church organizations, scheduling facilities, collecting fees for building use as prescribed in the building use policy, and informing other staff members about scheduled building use as well as scheduled meetings, scheduling major maintenance or repair projects in cooperation with the church custodian at the direction of the Trustees.
5. Manages the membership module of the church software system.
6. Assumes other duties as designated by the Pastor and/or the Session.
7. Prepares and maintains church website and electronic media software.

Entry level Requirements:
1. Proficient in office skills and computer operations.
2. Possess knowledge of church life and scheduling.
3. Possess a minimum of a high school diploma.
4. Submit to a criminal background check and be able to pass a substance abuse test.
5. Provide at least three character references at the time of application.
Compensation Structure: The employee shall work 30-35 hours per week in accordance with the current budget. At those times when the workload requires additional hours, they will be coordinated by the Pastor and the employee.
Personnel Committee is available to all staff for questions or issues requiring further clarification or in any intermediary capacity.

Pay: $19.53 - $20.00 per hour
