The award winning restaurant Ore Hill and Swyft in Kent, Ct is seeking an Executive Chef/Chef de Cuisine to join our team. We have two small concepts within one building with one mantra, buy local products and treat them well. Swyft is a 35 seat bustling pizza/tavern restaurant featuring all natural leavened doughs fired in our woodturning oven. Ore Hill (nominated as one of the top 50 restaurants in CT for 2024 according to the NY Times) is our 30 seat prix-fixe and tasting menu only restaurant where we use only the finest local ingredients to create a fine dining restaurant experience, in a relaxed environment. Ore Hill is only opened seasonally so we can highlight the products from our partner farm Rock Cobble. Rock Cobble Farm produces fruits, veggies, beef and dairy solely for us to use at the restaurants. Our Chef will work along with the farm team to plan for growing seasons, cheese needs etc.
Our ideal Executive Chef/CDC candidate will have true fine dining, Michelin star or James Beard level experience. Our Chef must be able to mentor, train and lead a team in a positive way, the location of the restaurant is not a culinary hotbed, so the ability to create a team is essential.
