CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Controls Engineer to join our team in Troutdale on a permanent basis. The initial role (before practical completion of client site) will be to be a liaison with the principal contractor, and other specialist contractors while providing comprehensive, practical controls system expertise. Post practical completion of the client campus, the day-to-day responsibilities of the role are to provide service delivery to the client based on the procedures created.
A large responsibility post practical completion will be to advise on continuous improvement of the systems, particularly around the specialist energy generation system to align with the clients targets of going carbon neutral/negative. You will be expected to advise/assist projects as an SME for controls and overall system operation
Role Summary:
· Assist the development and delivery of the campus control system management strategy in line with business objectives and technology lifecycle. Including the management of system changes, and system access levels
· Develop, maintain and perform backup/restore procedures for campus critical control systems
· Lead/assist in root cause analysis activities relating to control systems
· Programming and fault finding on various control systems - providing first, second and third line support
· Support the testing of the site functional safety systems.
· Propose and deliver service level agreements in line with customer and operational demands.
· Demonstrate continuous improvements to control systems resulting in robust/improved system performance.
· Effective control of local control system spend (revenue & capital) in line with business requirements and budgets.
· Future projections for control system related capital sanctions to be delivered on time.
· Develop a strategy for controls obsolescence management (hardware and software), directly influencing capital planning.
· Project management of small projects including technical and business change management and budgetary control.
· Maintain in depth knowledge of various control systems in order to deliver the requirements of the campus.
· Provision of coaching and technical support to local engineering technicians, plant engineers etc.
Experience Required:
· As a minimum you will hold an HND/HNC within a relevant engineering discipline.
· 5 Years experience within the Pharmaceutical Industry, or similar highly regulated industry.
· Have a detailed working knowledge of programming mainstream PLC and building controllers (e.g. Siemens S7, Allen Bradley, Tridium-Jace, Carel, Schneider Modicon) SCADA, HMI equipment.
· Good knowledge of IT network communication protocols
· Experience working with external suppliers e.g. service level agreements, supplier certification, contract management, service negotiation.
· Trouble-shooting and resolution of control system issues.
· Qualified to degree level within a relevant engineering discipline. (Desirable)
· Member of a relevant engineering institution, holding or working towards charted engineer status (Desirable)
· Understanding of BS EN 61511 Functional Safety lifecycle. Have participated in HAZOP, LOPA and SIL assessments (Desirable)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
