Part-Time, Fitness Coach / CPT for Lifestyle Medicine Concierge Practice
Join our concierge medical practice for an opportunity to collaborate with top Boston physicians and other top-tier wellness practitioners while working with members. This position is unique in its opportunity to work directly with our renowned physicians and our patients. Under the general supervision of the VP of Synergy Private Health and Associate Director of Wellness, the Fitness Coach will have in person and virtual sessions with members to support high level personalized fitness plans and training.
THE FITNESS COACH:
- Able to work in person at our office in Wellesley, MA as well as virtually
- Exhibits superb customer service and models service excellence in all interactions.
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with members, with the intent of providing the best experience possible.
- Collaborates directly with physicians, nutrition coaches, and health coaches to support member care.
- Attends monthly meetings with Health Coaching team.
- Creates personalized workout routines to improve muscular endurance, flexibility, muscle mass maintenance or growth, strength and stability, and cardiovascular health.
- Reviews member’s existing workout routines with guidance for optimization.
- Provides direct 1:1 or small group personal training in our fitness studio
- Sets fitness goals with members and provides ongoing support
- Maintains calendar for accurate booking of sessions by our front desk staff.
- Handles sensitive information in a confidential, professional manner.
- Performs other duties or special projects that are department-specific and appropriate to this level of position.
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma required
- Certification(s) such as: CPT or CSSC from well-respected organization, ideally ACSM, NASM or NCSF.
- Current CPR Certification
- Associate or bachelor's degree strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of experience personal training
- Preferred experience working with or as a professional or collegiate athlete
SKILLS ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Confidence in using technology and utilizing multiple online platforms
- Professional communication skills in all formats; written, phone, electronic, in-person
- Ability to practice within scope and collaborate with clinical and wellness team members.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information in a discrete manner
- Proven ability to work independently
- Proven ability to perform well under pressure and in an ever-changing environment
- Excellent relationship management skills
JOB TYPE:
- Part-time, hybrid
- Hourly rate: $60/hour
- Schedule: Mainly days, 8-4:30 with flexibility for occasional early morning or evening requests
