Under the general supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse, the psychiatric technician assistant assists licensed staff in carrying out activity and training progras for clients/patients; assists clients/patients with feeding, toileting skills, grooming and appearance; help keep clients/patients clothing, beds, and living area clean; assist and motivate clients/patients to develop self-reliance in daily living; assist in group and individual activities for clients/patients; assist in occupation, leisure, recreational, vocational, and educational training programs. The PTA assigned to Medical Services is part of the Interdisciplinary Team fulfilling and demonstrating basic nursing care.
Candidates must be willing to work in any Unit/Program and any Shift to meet the needs of the facility.
TRAINING EXPECTATIONS: If selected, it is mandatory that you attend New Employee Orientation (NEO) in its entirety. NEO can be scheduled up to 30 days for level of care staff (clinical).
