Position: HVAC- Crew Member- Indoor Construction
Reports to: Production Supervisor, AVA

Job: HVAC- Crew Member
Job description: As an HVAC Crew Member you must assist in the rough-in and finish work on a wide variety of residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Coordinate with crew lead and supervisors to ensure all work is done in a timely manner and to code/ job specifications. This job will require the crew member to be open to learning adjacent trades.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform and sometimes lead crew in work process and activities in a production environment.
2. Perform assigned work with provided materials and tools.
3. Coordinate work activities with other production construction crew members and crew leads.
4. Inspect equipment or tools to be used in construction, monitor, and ensure proper safety protocols are in place and being followed.
5. Cross-Train with other crews located within the same workspace as HVAC.
6. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
HVAC Crew Member should have the following skills, education, and experience:
· Positive outlook and approaches problems, obstacles in solutions orientate manor.
· Associates in HVAC or related experience in the plumbing trade and 2 years of experience OR 4 + years in light commercial or residential installation.
· Knowledge of methods and techniques of performing skilled plumbing work
· Ability to read blueprints, and knowledge of HVAC applications
Preferred Requirements:
· 2 years of experience leading jobs.
· Certified in Lean or 6S in a manufacturing environment.
· An understanding/experience of modular construction.
· Experience with other MEP related trades such as Plumbing and Electrical installs or service work.
· Experience in a manufacturing environment.
· General understanding of HVAC system design.
· Experience inspecting HVAC ducting systems.
· Well developed understanding of codes and regulations pertaining to HVAC and residential/commercial construction.
· HVAC or other construction related certifications or competency cards.
Physical Requirements:
-Must be able to lift and carry heavy HVAC equipment and materials, including air conditioning units, and ductwork:
-Must be able to regularly lift 50lbs and occasionally team lift and set fixtures up to 100lbs
-Must have the strength to maneuver and position HVAC units and components up to 300lbs during installation.
-Must possess the physical agility to work in confined spaces such as crawl spaces, and utility closets.
-Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel while assembling and installing ductwork and piping systems.
-Must possess manual dexterity to handle tools, fasteners, and small parts with precision.
-Must be able to climb ladders or use scaffolding to access elevated areas for HVAC installations.
-Must have the endurance to work for extended periods, often in physically demanding positions.
-Must be comfortable working in various environmental conditions, in lowlight conditions and at heights.
-Must possess the stamina to work efficiently and effectively throughout the duration of a construction project.
-Must have good balance and stability to work safely on elevated surfaces and around potential hazards.
-Must be able to withstand exposure to dust, debris, and other construction-related materials.
