Summary
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team and manage the company’s purchasing process of supplies, equipment, and services. This position will focus on strategizing to find cost effective deals and suppliers. Your duties will include the establishment of a sustainable procurement landscape, optimization of efficiencies, cost reduction, and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Help develop a sustainable procurement landscape with minimal risk to the company and establish long term partnerships with excellent suppliers.
· Establish a robust RFQ-process including developing a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service and maintain it.
· Follow up and track RFQ projects
· Take part in the recruitment process of suppliers critical to the supply chain in corporation with program management and supplier quality engineering.
· Prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and supplier agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability.
· Support negotiations of contracts and agreements with suppliers for equipment, purchase parts, services, and subcontractors.
· Involved in the onboarding process (including monitoring and performance evaluation) of new suppliers and hand over to operation.
· Support in supplier conflict situation (e.g. back-log or force major situation).
· Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports.
· Ensure that all procurement activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
· Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.
· Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
· Prepare instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
· Develop and maintain relationships with all departments to ensure easy flow between the purchasing team and other departments including but not limited to engineering, maintenance, supplier quality engineering and program management.
· Arrange for disposal of surplus materials.
· Operate as backup for operational purchasing (issue purchase orders and change notices).

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred, one to three years of related experience in purchasing or an administrative role.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management and peers.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
Ability to execute proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
