Role
Seeking a talented Senior Firmware & Software Development Engineer to take the lead in designing, developing, integrating, and verifying software and firmware for our cutting-edge biological sample tracking systems. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to drive innovation in control, communications, and system interface development.
Exciting Responsibilities Await You:
- Lead all software development activities within the company
- Develop firmware for embedded microcontrollers
- Create software for Linux and Microsoft Windows platforms
- Collaborate on design, integration, troubleshooting, and support with team members
- Engage with external partners to integrate and interface with our systems
Necessary Qualifications:
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in software development in technically demanding projects
- Minimum three years in embedded microcontroller software product design
- At least one year of Web development experience
- Proficiency in MS Windows and Linux with C/C++ and C#
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, PHP, MYSQL, CSS, and Yii is a plus
- Experience with microcontroller peripherals like I2C, SPI, UART, CAN
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, WiFi, Bluetooth, and cellular based firmware development
- Ability to work on multidisciplinary projects as an individual contributor
- Demonstrated expertise in the entire software development life cycle
- Capability to manage outside consultants and support software packages post design
Additional Qualifications (a plus):
- Familiarity with Microchip microcontroller programming and development
- Experience with low-power applications
- Knowledge of IoT devices and relevant frameworks
- Ability to read electronics schematics and debug analog/digital hardware
- Experience in writing engineering and technical documentation
- Proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.
