We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team in Union, SC.
Always perform duties in a safe and responsible manner, never putting themselves or any other associates at risk.
Always wear appropriate PPE for the situation
Follow directions and work together with Supervisors and other associates.
Responsible for making boxes and ensuring that correct Work Order, boxes, labels, bags, inserts and other needed trim items are readily available.
Inspect and test machines to ensure everything is working properly and is in good condition.
Program all machine operation information before it begins running.
Thread sheeting cloth into machine or sew sheeting cloth to pre-existing cloth that’s already been threaded.
Troubleshoot (basic) machine/ Robot problems to determine and/or prevent operating issues. Alert maintenance staff when necessary.
Adheres to client job specifications and company SOPs to ensure quality work.
Work diligently and efficiently to eliminate down time and help achieve production schedules.
Report to supervisor(s) regularly to update them on progress
Housekeeping duties in and around the warehouse as necessary (also startup/shutdown/downtime)
Inspect area at the beginning of each shift. Report any housekeeping, quality, safety concerns.
Safety checks, set up, and operation of the Texpa or other Autosew Machinery.
Ensure at the beginning of the shift that the correct Work Order, boxes, labels, bags, inserts and other needed trim items are being used.
Visual inspection of the cloth as it runs through the machine to ensure that no defects make it into the finished product.
Communicate with packers any issues, situations, (such as: style changes new work orders, quality check off sheets) they should be aware of.
Record any defects on to the Defect Recording Sheet.
Enter recorded defects into an Excel Spreadsheet and APR system.
Communicate with previous shift on arrival to be knowledgeable of previous issues/ situations.
Communicate with the next shift to report any issues/ situations.
Communicate with supervisor(s) during shift with quality issues/ change overs.
Immediately report any down time that has exceeded 15 minutes to the supervisor(s).
Perform housekeeping duties including (but not limited to) blowing off machines, sweeping, mopping, and removing waste.
Ensure All production reports are turned in in a correct, accurate, and efficient manner.
Ad hoc, work-related tasks as needed.
