Summary
The Training Coordinator is expected to fully understand all warehouse processes to proficiently execute CES Online fulfillment center activities and Standard Operating Procedures.
Under the direction of the Fulfillment Center Manager, the training coordinator will perform the duties required to train new associates on all SOP’s and procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Orient the associate with the facility
1.) Tour of the facility (breakroom, restroom, and departments)
2.) Overview of the History of CES
3.) Review timekeeping process
4.) Provide call-out number for the facility
5.) Review Emergency Protocol
6.) Review Attendance Policy
7.) Review Employee Safety Forms
- Standard Operating Procedures
1.) Review the SOP’s that pertain to the newly hired associates assigned department (receiving, wire, inventory control, shipping, etc.)
2.) Review the Job Aides that pertain to the newly hired associates assigned department
3.) Have the associate confirm and sign off on all training forms
1.) Orient associate to their department
2.) Model to the associate all job responsibilities
3.) Shadow the associate while they complete all job responsibilities
4.) Identify performance gaps, re-train to gaps, and repeat shadowing
5.) Confirm performance understanding and compliance
1.) Check-In with the associate each day and during the first couple of weeks after the associate has started
2.) Complete Skill Checklist and train to performance gaps
3.) Review findings with the department managers
- Level 1 Job Duty Tasks - Refresher Training (All associates)
1.) Coordinate training schedule with Fulfillment Center Manager
2.) Review SOP’s
3.) Have the associates sign off on the training form
4.) Complete additional training with associate who demonstrated errors and procedural non-compliance
1.) Coordinate Training needs and schedule with the Fulfillment Center Manager
2.) Complete initial training on the MHE
3.) Complete recertification training on the MHE
1.) Perform Safety facility walk through in accordance with OSHA standards, report, and submit completed reports back to CES HS Manager and Fulfillment Center Manager, and make corrections as needed with the approval by the Fulfillment Center Manager.
2.) Report any incident or accident immediately to the Fulfillment Center Manager. All incident documentation will be submitted to the HS Manager. Aide with investigation and any Plan of Corrections guided by the Fulfillment Center Manager.
3.) Conduct safety committee meetings with the safety committee members: Fulfillment Center Manager and HS Manager.
1.) Provide all training documentation to the Fulfillment Center Manager
2.) Manage training calendar
3.) Monitor all training recertifications
a.) MHE
b.) First Aid/CPR
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relations with customers, co-workers and supervisors.
- Ability to multi-task and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work full time or overtime, if necessary.
Education/Experience
- No prior work experience required; 2-3 years of experience preferred: prior warehouse experience preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required.

Work Environment
- Ability to operate and maneuver warehouse equipment, including, but not limited to, pallet jacks, forklifts, pickers, reach trucks, push carts, and wire cutting, paralleling, and pulling head installation machines, in the manner necessary to move materials and consistent with manufacturers’ instructions and safety instructions.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including the ability to perform physical requirements, adapt to seasonal changes.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to perform the physical requirements necessary to receive, pick, pack, ship, and move materials throughout the warehouse, including, but not limited to, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, paralleling wire, installing wire pulling heads, and lifting materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
