Bethel Church Job Description
Responsible to: Lead Teacher and Preschool Director
Job Status: Part-time, non-exempt
Responsibilities and Duties:

The assistant teacher will be responsible for helping the lead teacher in teaching the assigned age group.

The assistant teacher is to take direction from the lead teacher in teaching and caring for the children.

The assistant teacher is also responsible for helping keep the tone and structure of the classroom set by the lead teacher.

Any problems that arise (discipline, behavior, communication with parents, etc) should be handled by the lead teacher.

The assistant teacher is required to attend training sessions and accumulate training hours set by the director(s).

The assistant teacher should have on file with Bethel Church: Completed and cleared National Background check form.

The assistant teacher should be engaged in a local church and growing in their walk with the Lord. The assistant teacher’s beliefs must align with the core beliefs of Bethel Church. A reference from the assistant teacher’s local church pastor or church leader will be required.
