Position Overview
The VP of IT drives the Information Technology and Network Systems (IT&NS) strategy and operational capabilities across the firm. This leader will develop and execute a holistic near and long-term strategy for our business and operational technology portfolios. The VP of IT will serve as a business enabler and a partner with strong relationships across executive leadership, ensuring that IT&NS considerations remain at the forefront of key firmwide initiatives to drive our business objectives. The VP of IT will be a talent magnet and help build out a strong technical team to execute against the strategy developed.
Role and Responsibilities

Develop and oversee an IT and digital strategy and roadmap that supports short and long-term business objectives and increase cost-effectiveness while improving the Customer Experience (CX)

Participate in the network strategy and roadmap that supports the short- and long- term business objectives.

Drive and nurture an exceptional level of excellence within the organization; recruit, nurture, and retain top technical talent; define a world-class engineering culture of fun and high energy where IT&NS professionals can do the best work.

Build strong relationships with business leaders across the company and develop a detailed understanding of their issues, challenges, and opportunities; deliver the right Business Application Architecture to deliver on the priorities for business.

Proactively create a strategic financial investment plan for transforming IT&NS solutions, ensuring that funds are spent in alignment with the company’s mission and goals and delivering a return on its IT&NS investments.

Maintain high standards of performance, including a high level of IT&NS service across all systems to support collaboration with colleagues across the organization.

Monitor the regulatory environment, participate in industry forums to conduct benchmarking, and identify areas of focus to ensure compliance.

Maintain a strong grasp of industry trends in IT&NS to ensure that ImOn remains in a leading position with regard to its competitors.

Manage vendor relationships and third-party partnerships to accomplish business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements:
Professional Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science required, or combination of education and experience.

10-15 years of relevant technology and development experience with a minimum of 5 years of strategic leadership experience as a Sr. Executive in the telecommunications industry is preferred.

Background in network systems and operational support systems is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to create a clear strategic vision for IT&NS that supports business objectives, execute on that vision, and flex readily when business circumstances change.

Proven track record of success within a VC or private equity-backed environment is preferred.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence all levels within an organization, most importantly at the senior executive level.

Sharp business acumen and extremely comfortable building budgets, managing and negotiating contracts and cross-functional partnerships.

Demonstrated ability to build high-performing IT&NS teams in a fast growth company.

Experience building collaborative, trusting relationships, and being comfortable working with colleagues across a range of locations and levels of technology expertise.
