Primary responsibilities for this position include coordinating the day-to-day activities of International Center for Child Health and Development (ICHAD) study(ies), including liaising with junior project staff, coordination of research activities, oversight of field data collection and analyses, and development of center and study progress reports, including those required by the funding agencies (such as NIH) and other products. The coordinator may travel out of state, including foreign travels, at least twice per year.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Project Coordination
-
Develop and track project timelines and outcomes, in collaboration with PIs and field research team.

Coordinate communication with the ICHAD field team in Uganda as well as other collaborators including initiation of weekly and monthly study meetings, and taking minutes.

Disseminate project findings actively, including preparing summaries, presenting at scientific conferences, and participating in preparation of manuscripts.
Manuscript Development and Dissemination

Conduct literature reviews.
-
Assist in manuscript development and related dissemination activities such as newsletters, study websites and materials.

Manage the Center’s publication tracker/bi-monthly publication meetings.
Data management
-
Data entry, data cleaning and data analysis for ICHAD studies.

Editing/reviewing study related materials with PIs.
-
Endnote/reference management for publications.
Other Functions
-
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Director/Principal Investigators.
Working Conditions

Will be in an office setting at the Brown School on the Danforth Campus; International travel will be a required component of the position.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree and four years job related experience or Master’s degree in social work, public health, social sciences, or public policy.
-
Completed CITI Human Subjects and Good Clinical Practice trainings as well as any NIH Human Subjects Required Training.

Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative data (qualitative/quantitative).
-
Experience in conducting literature reviews, preparing outlines for manuscripts.
-
Familiarity with use of SPSS, STATA, M-Plus, and Nvivo softwares.
-
Familiarity with use of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
-
Experience with planning and organization of multi-day events.
-
Experience with intervention research.

Experience with global research.

Supervisory experience.

Understanding and knowledge of social work and public health terminology.

Demonstrated superior English writing and editing skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including faculty, staff, students, public affairs, and health and news organizations.

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
