1099 Locum Position
Location: Catawba Service Unit, 2893 Sturgis Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29730-6607 - Indian Health Service
Position Overview: The Catawba Service Unit is seeking an Attending Physician to provide and manage patient care at our Rock Hill, SC clinic. This role includes delivering a wide range of medical services and overseeing clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical care for urgent, preventative, chronic, and progressive conditions for patients of all ages.
- Treat a variety of family practice cases, performing most diagnostic and treatment procedures independently.
- Instruct patients on specific treatments and preventative care.
- Adhere to medical staff bylaws, service unit policies, procedures, and all applicable federal and state regulations.
- Complete patient care forms and issue patient referrals as needed.
- Clinically supervise two Physician Assistants and oversee the laboratory.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited school in the United States or Canada.
Foreign Medical Graduates must provide evidence of equivalency to accredited U.S. schools through permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates or equivalent.
Licensure:
Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
Graduate Training:
Completion of a residency program, with board eligibility or certification. Acceptable programs include those accredited by recognized bodies such as the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Certifications:
CLIA certification or the ability to become certified within one month of employment.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS or BLS) Certification.
DEA license.
