Tri-Valley Transit (TVT), a nonprofit organization, has been providing critical transportation needs for community members for 45 years. The HR Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the mission of TVT by providing support directly to staff and through the HR Manager and HR Director with tasks such as:
- Support employees by answering HR related inquiries and assisting with paperwork
- Recruitment and onboarding tasks
- Provide assistance in administering benefit programs
- Assist with HR related communications
- Compile reports for Executive and Finance Directors
- Create and maintain spreadsheets and other documents
- Schedule and coordinate staff and other meetings
- Distribute mail
- Facilitate and track employee compliance documents
- Organize and maintain HR digital and paper files
- Assist in planning and coordinating morale events and trainings
- Other duties as assigned
This position requires a high level of professionalism, the ability to maintain confidentiality and the ability to maintain a positive attitude as well as strong organizational and computer skills. Previous experience in a Human Resources role or associate's degree in related field preferred.

The position is based in our Middlebury office and will require periodic, paid travel to our other sites in Randolph and Bradford. A company vehicle is available.
