Job Summary:
Growing in Care, PLLC is hiring! We provide therapeutic care to our community, serving youth and families within a private practice setting. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate licensed (LMHC) child and adolescent Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Mental Health Therapist at Growing in Care, you will provide therapy services to youth with an option for in person, telehealth, or a hybrid model for sessions. Telehealth referrals are based across NYS, and local referrals will be provided as well for in person sessions at our office location in Greece, NY. Referrals are provided with choice of clients that best fit with your own experience and approach. Your role will involve individual therapy, development of treatment plans and completing documentation, and collaborating as appropriate with other providers to support clients in their journey towards growth and care for their mental well-being (along with other related duties).
At Growing in Care, we prioritize therapist well-being and mental health, along with the care of our clients. We seek to have clinicians create their own schedules (part time and full time available), to encourage work-life balance, and to prevent burnout. We want therapists to know that they are a priority, along with the care of those that we provide therapy to. Office space built for children (play therapy space), and space for adults available for use included within the practice, along with phone app and email with Google Workspace, EMR system with Simple Practice (built in telehealth system, client portal, secure messaging system, customized intake and progress notes, and other services), and supervision included as needed. Option for private pay or to panel with insurance available.
Pay is based on hours (sessions) worked, with higher income based on increase in sessions conducted.
Duties: (included but not limited to)
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment and intake
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and crisis management as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation of client progress
- Provide psychoeducation and support to clients' families or caregivers
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of mental health therapy
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy and play therapy
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
- Familiarity with psychopharmacology and medical terminology related to mental health conditions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client interaction and documentation purposes
- Strong crisis management skills to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
- Empathy, compassion, and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Counseling (CACREP)
- Valid state licensure with NYS Board of Education as a Mental Health Therapist (LMHC)
- Experience working in a clinical setting providing mental health therapy services with youth
- Maintaining own liability insurance coverage
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour
