The NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting for Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW) and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) to work at facilities located throughout New York State.
LMSWs and LCSWs at OMH are part of a multidisciplinary treatment team and provide evidence based clinical interventions, service linkage and discharge planning to individuals with mental illness in our inpatient, community, or clinic settings including:
- Performing risk assessments, crisis intervention, and referrals in response to mental health crises.
- Developing individualized treatment and discharge plans.
- Providing counseling and education to individuals, groups, and families.
- Advocating and providing connections to needed services.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed and currently registered by New York State as a LMSW or LCSW.
