We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician with a strong controls and electrical systems background to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on various equipment and machinery in our facility. Your expertise in controls and electrical systems will be crucial in ensuring our production processes' smooth operation and maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure optimal functionality.
2. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system malfunctions promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
3. Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies, including scheduling, spare parts management, and equipment reliability improvement initiatives.
4. To support production processes, Install, program, and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and other control systems.
5. Analyze and interpret technical manuals, electrical and control schematics, and blueprints to effectively diagnose and resolve complex issues.
6. Continuously monitor and evaluate equipment performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing appropriate modifications or upgrades.
7. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations while performing maintenance activities, promoting a safe working environment.
8. Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance the overall technical capabilities of the team.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification or vocational training in electrical or control systems is highly desirable.
2. Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role, strongly emphasizing controls and electrical systems.
3. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, PLCs, HMIs, and other devices commonly used in industrial environments.
4. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair techniques for electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.
5. Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices, including developing and executing effective maintenance plans.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues and implement appropriate solutions.
7. Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately follow technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment.
9. Flexibility to work overtime when necessary, including some weekends and holidays, to support production demands.
10. Physical fitness requirements.

- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move to reach and service machinery.
- Must be able to inspect machines visually.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
