Program Evaluator
Grupo Nexos Inc. (GN) is seeking independent contractors for the services of Program Evaluation who will play a crucial role in lead the evaluation of the essential social welfare and prevention services for families. Grupo Nexos Inc. (GN), a private, non-profit organization, offers innovative and interdisciplinary services to promote community health and well-being, and also serves as a scientific advisor to the Department of Family in the implementation of the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA). FFPSA is federal legislation that expands federal support for family welfare and prevention services and aims to prevent children from entering foster care unless absolutely necessary.
Summary:
The Program Evaluator is responsible for assessing the implementation process, effectiveness, and impact of programs and interventions. This role involves designing evaluation frameworks, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting findings to support evidence-based decision-making and program development. The Program Evaluator collaborates with the Evaluator Lead (or director), Program Evaluation Assistant, and other team members to ensure that programs are grounded in evidence-based practices and aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Evaluation Design and Implementation:
- · Develop evaluation designs and methods to assess programmatic interventions.
- · Create logic models, evaluation plans, work plans, data collection instruments, and other relevant evaluation tools.
- · Lead the feedback process for programmatic interventions to inform improvements.
2. Data Collection:
- · Coordinate and oversee data collection activities.
- · Collect, enter, compile, and organize data from various sources, including program records, participant surveys, interviews, and other relevant data sources.
- · Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data collected, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- · Maintain data management systems and databases to facilitate efficient data storage and retrieval.
3. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- · Conduct quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods data analysis using appropriate statistical and analytical techniques.
- · Interpret evaluation findings and prepare summaries of key findings for reporting purposes.
- · Generate reports, presentations, and data visualizations to communicate evaluation results to stakeholders.
4. Evidence-Based Practice:
- · Apply evidence-based approaches to program development, implementation, and evaluation efforts.
- · Collaborate with team members to integrate evidence-based strategies into program planning and delivery.
- · Stay informed about evidence-based practices in research and program evaluation through literature reviews and professional development opportunities.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
- · Collaborate effectively with program staff, partners, and other stakeholders to support evaluation efforts and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- · Communicate professionally and responsively with internal and external stakeholders regarding evaluation activities and outcomes.
- · Provide support to the Evaluator Lead, Program Evaluation Assistant, and other team members as needed to ensure the successful implementation of evaluation plans and activities.
- · Attend all staff, supervisor, internal, and external meetings as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has personnel supervisory responsibilities, beside interact with people at all hierarchical levels of the organization.
Education and Experience Qualifications:
- · Master’s degree in professions related to Public Health or Social Sciences (e.g., Research Evaluation, Educational Research and Evaluation, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Industrial Psychology, among others).
- · Proven experience, more than two (2) years, in evaluation activities or data management and analysis, preferably in a nonprofit or research setting.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- · Knowledge in programmatic evaluation and applied research methodologies.
- · Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate insights effectively.
- · Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- · Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint), Survey Monkey, Canvas, and basic office equipment.
- · Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
- · Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. English language proficiency is a must.
- · Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- · Discretion and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- · Skilled in supervision and conflict resolution, with a strong track record in managing teams and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Physical Requirements:
- · Prolonged periods of standing facilitating training and/or sitting at a desk working on a computer.
- · Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
