Our manufacturing services client located in South Houston is seeking to add a Sales Representative to their organization. This is a newly formed position as the company has experienced huge growth. The founders will continue to be leaders in the organization, however, are looking for expertise as they continue to grow with the demands of their industry. Great opportunity for a Sales Representative to demonstrate their knowledge with all facets of Sales, and develop a Sales department that will be an integral part of the organization.
A sales representative that is responsible for generating new business and managing existing customer relationships for a company that provides outsourced co-packer, blending and logistics services. Their key responsibilities typically include:
Prospecting and Business Development
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and lead generation activities
- Conduct research to understand potential clients' logistics needs and requirements
- Develop and deliver sales presentations and proposals tailored to each prospect
Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
- Understand clients' business operations, challenges, and goals to provide customized logistics solutions
- Negotiate rates and contract terms with clients
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution
Sales Performance
- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets and revenue goals
- Accurately forecast sales and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, pricing, etc.) to deliver seamless service to clients
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, logistics, or a related field
- Prior sales experience in this space, ideally in the co-packing, blending, and logistics or transportation industries
- Prior experience selling to target markets including petrochemical, refining, industrial manufacturing, and food packaging
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events
The role requires a combination of sales acumen, industry knowledge, and customer service orientation to drive revenue growth for the 3PL provider.
