Senior Accountant

A local multi-entity company is looking for a senior accountant to take the lead in reconciling the general ledgers, inter-company accounts, build month-end processes, perform GL analysis and more. Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and record journal entries as needed.
- Perform month-end and year-end close duties.
- Prepare draft financial statements.
- Conduct technical accounting research as needed.
- Maintain financial records.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Record all brokerage and investment accounts.
- Responsible for monitoring and recording the accounting and financial aspects of capital projects.
- Assist with the compilation and reporting of annual budgets to support financial planning.
- Responsible for special projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned by executives.
- Correspond professionally with all levels within and outside the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in accounting and preparing financial statements.
- CPA or similar certification is preferred.
- 3-4 years of public accounting experience required.
- Experience with accounting system conversion is preferred.
- Experience in accounting for investments in securities, partnership investments or real estate a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage Intaact preferred.
- Excellent organization and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work well under pressure, with tight deadlines and with minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
