This is a year-round full-time teaching position with flexibility to have summertime off. The work shift is 6:30a -3:30p, Monday to Friday with a pay rate of $18-20 depending on experience. This is an onsite role at our center location:

The
Elementary Teacher for the K-1 classroom plans and implements curriculum, serves as a model and mentor, and coordinates engaging developmental activities for children. You’ll have the opportunity to build a dynamic classroom environment, create fun-filled learning activities, develop positive self-esteem and confidence, and support the growth and success of children.
What You’ll Do:- Responsible for teaching groups of students with mild or moderate disabilities
- Lead by example and encourage success through modeling and coaching
- Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
- Modify existing curriculum on basic subjects to meet each student’s learning requirements and build individual lesson plans tailored to their specific needs.
- Monitor children’s behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed
- Manage classroom crises and resolve conflict
- Collaborate with the support staff to create intervention plans
- Inform parents about their children’s performance and potential problems
What We Need from You:- Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA), bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or Elementary Education
- 1 year teaching experience (preferred) with FL Teaching Certificate
- Must clear a full Level 2 DCF background check.
- First-Aid / CPR Certification required within 90 days of employment.
- Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed.
- Effectively communicate with both students and parents to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills
- Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed.
- Effective in communicating with both students and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns
