Position Title: Line Cook / Grill / Saute
Department: Kitchen (BOH)
Reports To: Head Chef, Sous Chef
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate line cook to join our restaurant team. The line cook will be responsible for preparing high quality dishes in accordance with our restaurant’s standards and quality. This role requires a strong attention to detail, efficiency, sense of urgency and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Set an example for others, being always on time and attendance, uniform procedures and adheres to kitchen schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follows all internal and state regulations such as DOH/Food & safety/HACCP/Beverage.
- Maintains a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Responsible for time management, efficiency and kitchen organization.
- Filling out and maintains production list on a daily base
- Prepare all food products according to the prescribed methods and recipes.
- Responsible for setting up their own kitchen station and help others if needed.
- Ensure all food products are properly store, labeled and dated.
- Reports to kitchen management
- Minimize food waste
- Maintain all kitchen equipment and utensils
- Responsible for checking quality of received products and correct storage
- Supporting the rotation of staff and helping new cooks to learn and understand their role
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating stock to maintain freshness and quality.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, reporting any maintenance needs to the Head Chef or kitchen manager.
