Job Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous Quality Technician - First Article Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards through meticulous inspection and testing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Review and organize work load associated with multiple Quality functions including qualification and customer FAIs and customer quality requests
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools to perform accurate measurements and records
- Analyze data collected during quality audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and provide guidance on quality control processes
- Review and Document inspection results and maintain detailed records of quality tests and evaluations such as FAI reports, vendor certs reports for customer orders - Communicate and track quality FAI updates to ensure correct disposition and report weekly progress.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, ability to work with Engineering blueprints - Computer skills required: Microsoft Office (Excel functions), MRP software, and Net-Inspect. - Proficient in QA/QC methodologies and practices
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Ability to analyze data effectively to drive quality improvements
- Skilled in conducting quality audits and inspections
- Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures
