The Finish position, under limited supervision, operates finish equipment to apply powder coat finishes to parts and components while meeting all necessary specifications and quality control standards. Understands the process of hang and de-hang.
We currently have a position open on Day Shift (Monday through Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm). There is also an opportunity for overtime on Friday's during our summer busy season.
Essential Functions:
- Following Standard Work Instructions, operates powder coat controls and applies powder according to “Job Instruction”.
- Understands the principles of hang/de-hang process.
- Reads and interprets dimensions and other information from all types of drawings.
- Completes daily and necessary paperwork.
- Maintains a clean, safe working environment according to 5S and department safety guidelines.
- Reads, understands, communicates, and interprets written and verbal instruction, work documentation, policies, and practices, etc., which are written in the English language.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

- High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), or equivalent work experience demonstrating performance competency required.
- Experience applying powder coat in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in and knowledge of accessing and using information system computer databases.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams as needed.
- Demonstrate willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as business needs require.
- Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting.
- Able to wear required PPE for extended periods: Hood, protective suit, etc.
