BlueLinx is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer that will be responsible for creating inspiring, strategic, and innovative ideas. This role requires firm knowledge of: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop; Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities:
- Interfaces with stakeholders to determine objectives, budget, background information, presentation approaches, styles, and techniques.
- Presents creative solutions to ensure the design meets the business objectives and remains on-brand.
- Ability to visualize and document ideas in two and three dimensions.
- Determines the layout, visual appearance, and usability of creative solutions to align with the creative brief and target market.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop and implement design solutions and ensure the brand's successful representation (i.e., cohesive messaging and consistent branding) across all media.
- Identifies and coordinates creative activities to ensure stakeholders’ requirements are met on time and within budget.
- Develops branding elements, including digital, outdoor, print, social media, collateral and promotional materials, and in-store signage from concept to pre-press to production.
- Creates conceptual layouts in accordance with design principles (e.g., color, typography, photographic selection, etc.) for the brand, elements, and usability.
- Provides design and graphic support and direction for marketing and Web initiatives (e.g., online toolbox, packaging, merchandising, marketing events, displays, point of sale materials, presentations, sales materials, etc.)
- Evaluate the brand's visual language (e.g., color palette, logo, font, etc.) across various media.
- Establishes the conceptual and stylistic execution for projects and campaigns to ensure adherence to brand guidelines and design standards.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work in the office Tuesday – Thursday.
- B2B experience a plus.
Experience:
- 3+ years experience as a Graphic Designer, or similar role.
- Portfolio of completed design projects.
- Hands-on experience with image editing software, like Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Proficient in design software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Adobe Dimension).
- Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts, and layouts.
- Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team.
- Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or other related major preferred
