Job Duties and Responsibilities
Engineers, Systems Architecture to develop technologies that change how millions of users connect and interact with one another in areas including third party billing, authentication and access, services, security, user interface, data persistence and analytics, infrastructure, tools and automation.
Responsibilities:
Apply experience designing, setup and deploying Docker, Kubernetes orchestration platforms and Docker compute nodes, Kubernetes pods and container management on Unix/Linux infrastructure environments in a cloud environment or on-premises hosted environment.
Designing, deploying and maintain Oracle WebLogic servers, Apache Tomcat servers, JBoss servers, Nginx servers operating in a 24x7 environment.
Apply experience in designing, setup and deploying Oracle WebLogic Server, IPlanet Web Server, Apache Tomcat, WebSphere and Apache Web Servers on Unix/Linux infrastructure environments.
Apply experience in designing and developing infrastructure automation templates using Terraform and Ansible for OpenStack, Azure, VMWare to provision virtual machines, perform application deployment and automation of configuration management in a large scale (approximately 3,500 servers in two data centers) highly available development, staging and production environments.
Experience in setting up Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment build pipeline using Apache, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, JFrog and integrating with testing tools including Mockito or Cucumber and security scan tools including SonarQube and HP Fortify tools to manage code quality and reliability and deploy Software to a large-scale infrastructure operating in a 24x7 environment.
Design and develop Terraform templates for infrastructure automation for Azure cloud, Open stack and VMWare.
Design, develop and maintain Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana for log aggregation and reporting dashboards.
Define code branching and merging strategies for software code releases to multiple large-scale environments in multiple data centers.
Develop Ansible playbooks to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration updates and application deployment to production environments operating in a 24x7 model.
Deploy software applications in Web Archive and Enterprise Archive formats in single and clustered Oracle WebLogic servers.
Setup monitoring tools for applications using App Dynamics, Splunk and PagerDuty to provide highly available systems (with 99.9% up time) across multiple geo redundant data centers operating in a 24x7 environment.
Develop Oracle WebLogic scripts using WLST to generate automatic server status and health reports, automatic application deployments.
Debug network issues including DNS problems, TCP/IP connectivity issues.
Apply security patches for Oracle WebLogic servers, Docker, Kubernetes and for operating systems Unix/Linux.
Monitor and fine-tune Java virtual machine to support application availability and reliability.
Troubleshoot application issues by monitoring and analyzing application logs.
Develop and document standards for source code management, build guidelines, artifact dependency management, continuous integration and continuous deployment, configuration, and provision management for infrastructure.
Functional and Technical Skills Requirements
Applicant’s experience must include:

Minimum Experience and Education Requirements
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master of Science in Computer Science or related field or its equivalent and 1 year of relevant work experience.
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must have Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field or its equivalent and 3 years of relevant work experience.

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
