Responsibilities:
· In charge of the business subscription in accordance with corporate standards and strategies utilizing an adequate underwriting discipline.
· Examine submissions, analyze the information provided by agents or brokers, gather, and evaluate background information to effectively assess the risk involved.
· Maintain quality standards including appropriate documentation and authority relating to underwriting decisions.
· Negotiate deals with insurance brokers and agents and timely responds to quotation requests and/or inquiries.
· Educate agents and brokers on products, service, and underwriting standards as well as sales and marketing techniques for medical malpractice products.
· Support and collaborate sales and marketing initiatives including new product and additional coverages launches.
· Keep track and met the corresponding monthly production goals.
· Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge/Skills requirements:
· Insurance underwriting experience. Professional liability Lines, preferred.
· Bachelor's Degree, preferable in Business Administration or any related field.
· Management of small-medium accounts.
· Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast moving and challenging environment.
· Microsoft Office and Adobe Reader X (PDF) skills
· Writing and presentation skills, well organized, time management and great interpersonal skills.
· Bilingual (English and Spanish)
