We are a non-profit long term care facility that offers independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for coordinating all nursing and c.n.a staff schedules for each calendar week and find call-in replacements in order to meet corporate, state, and federal staffing guidelines.

Responsible for staffing in relationship to the budgeted health care hours per patient days resident census with approval from the Director of Nursing.
- Prepares staff weekday and weekend schedules on a weekly and daily basis. Notifies staff of schedule and any necessary schedule changes.

Receives incoming calls from nurses and c.n.a.'s and directs nursing staff appropriately in order to address nursing scheduling issues. Ensures that all calls are accepted and that issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Adjusts schedules effectively, independently, and efficiently, as needed, to accommodate changes, illness, PLT days, etc.

Collaborates with Director of Nursing and RN Managers daily to ensure adequate and appropriate staff is allocated appropriately to meet the needs of the floors.

Manages time-off requests, handles shift/assignment changes, and ensures adequate staffing is available for each shift.

Encourages teamwork, promotes The Sharon at SouthPark' Guiding Principles, and supports open communication and collaborative problem solving. Leads by example.

Assists Director of Nursing with processing of bi-weekly payroll and appropriate nursing hours as directed by the Director of Nursing.

Assist the Director of Nursing and VP Health Services in identifying and participating in process improvement initiatives that improve the staff experience, enhance work flow, and/or improve the work environment.

Administer the distribution and inventory of resident care supplies in accordance with facility policies and procedures under the direction of the Director of Nursing.

Under the direction of Director of Nursing, maintain a complete and adequate inventory of supplies for health care and assisted living.

Maintain an ongoing par level inventory for central supply and compare to the par level in Hybrent for accurate ordering purposes.
- Maintain a record of items charged out to residents and send monthly upload to the business office at end of month.

Provide staff education to new staff in scanning out charges to promote efficient, accurate cost capture.
Education and/or Experience

High School equivalent education required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Two years of scheduling experience required.

Two (2) years of experience in health care required.

One to two years (1-2) experience with scheduling of clinical staff preferred.

Prior experience in purchasing or central supply environment preferred.

May work on a computer; up to 8 hours in a day.
