Duties:
- Receive and prioritize incoming calls from customers and drivers
- Coordinate and schedule transportation services based on customer needs and available resources
- Monitor and track the progress of transportation routes using GPS and transportation management systems
- Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support throughout their routes
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation operations
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including driver logs, delivery confirmations, and customer interactions
- Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, accounting, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations
Skills:
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to effectively interact with customers and drivers
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple transportation requests and prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of fleet management principles to optimize resource allocation and route planning
- Proficiency in data entry to accurately record information and update transportation systems
- Familiarity with GPS technology to track vehicle locations and monitor route progress
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
