Service is the core of our business, and we consistently provide custom solutions and exceptional value to our customers.
It was in 1981 that a one-man and one-woman welding shop was started in Sheridan Wyoming. The foothills of the Bighorn Mountains housed the small shop that has now become Craftco Metals Services. Business grew rapidly in the ‘80’s and Billy and Marva quickly transitioned from their garage to a larger facility. This was short lived and in 1993 they moved to the current property that Craftco now operates from. The growth continued for several more years with a few other additions to the building to accommodate the growing welding business, culminating with the largest expansion of the facility and the addition of the machining services to their repertoire.
The 25,000 square foot facility is what Craftco operates from today, still offering custom fabrication and custom machining to many industries throughout the nation.
The past few years have been filled with many exciting projects and partnerships. In 2012, Craftco completed its first international project by building wear liner plates to be sold to the Antofagasta mine in Chile. Craftco has formed, and continues to harbor, successful working relationships with large companies in a wide variety of sectors; Large mining corporations, world renown firearm manufacturers, fossil fuel extraction companies, robotics, as well large commercial and residential building contractors, just to name a few. Craftco values constant improvement and strives to stay informed of relevant industry advancements. One way this is accomplished is by having several of the Craftco teammates participate in industry associations, College Advisory Committee’s and regularly attending annual industry conferences such as the FabTech trade show in Chicago and Atlanta, learning and evaluating new technology, machines, and updated systems.
A few additions from these conferences include our Marvel Computerized Band Saw, Flow Water Jet and most recently we have added a Mazak 7K Laser Cutter Our team excels in providing superior customer service, and value Craftco’ s reputation of excellence, quality, and great value for our customers. We are a full-service provider for many general manufacturing industries, along with structural builders, construction, mining and oil and gas producers.
