Job Title: Senior Director of Information Technology

Mission Contribution:
To help drive Memphis Goodwill (MGI), Memphis Goodwill Industries, Inc. (MGII) and the Goodwill Excel Center (GEC) mission delivery through progressive information systems. Provides assistive technology for those with barriers to employment, and provides the data, systems, and technology infrastructure to track and report MGI mission service outcomes
Function:
Under the supervision of the Senior VP of Operations, is responsible for all information systems and related technology as required to drive accurate and timely data-based decision making for MGI, Excel and MGII. Provides leadership in the deployment of technology to help drive mission results.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and articulate a strategic vision for the IT Department.
- Lead creation, design and deployment of large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services.
- Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
- Review and recommend contracts and services for information technology and related services and equipment; prepare recommendations and contracts and submit for consideration to Senior VP of Operations.
- Facilitate IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.
- Oversee accounting and maintenance of MGI owned hardware, software, and other information asset inventories.
- Plan, organize, and implement proper security policies and backup procedures to protect the integrity of MGI’s information assets. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plan, in the event of power failure, damage to systems or related issues.
- Ensure and maintain Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards requirements compliance to secure and protect customer and donor personal information.
- Develop and implement a technology plan for CARF surveys.
- Communicate updates on system status and service issues to the organization, coordinating downtimes with affected team members when necessary.
- Provide for the maintenance and improvement of organization’s information technology platform.
- Attend in service and related training as assigned.
- Identifying and eliminating security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that increase data security.
- Other duties as assigned by team leader.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of experience working in IT operations
- Five years of experience leadership role and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize. Project management certification.
- Firm grasp of IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
Training & Experience:
- Knowledge of backroom and frontroom information systems architecture, and local and wide-area networking.
- Knowledge of CaaS and SaaS models and management of same.
- Develop, implement and evaluate programs and services.
- Ability to conceptualize systems and deploy software products.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer relationship management skills
- Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
- Ability to work independently with little direction.
- Detail orientation.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive communications.

Special Requirements:
- Must be able to work occasional after-hours and weekends.
- Must be able to present and lead instructor led training to a group of people at a time.
- Incumbent must possess a valid driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a privately owned reliable means of transportation to travel throughout territory to visit locations.
- Ability to bend, reach and stand, and lift up to twenty-five pounds on an occasional basis.
