SUMMARY: The Associate RF Design Engineer will support the development of RF/Microwave Modules and Subsystems. The candidate shall be exposed to high-end, industry leading technology in the RF engineering field which will provide an opportunity for accelerated and advanced development. Spectrum Control is looking for a motivated entry level candidate to work in a high-paced environment supporting both our legacy products as well as our new RF + Digital technology initiatives. Primary responsibility shall include the design, testing and production transfer of integrated multifunction assemblies (e.g., frequency converters, RF distribution modules, switched filter banks, etc.) using chip and wire and/or multilayer PCB construction with operating frequencies up to 40 GHz.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work along-side the RF engineering team colleagues testing and advancing existing and future technologies and products.

Research and conduct investigations and experiments into new technologies for new or to improve existing products. Develop, document, and implement design and action plans.

Model, design, simulate, assemble, test prototypes and perform data analysis of electrical and RF circuits.

Create or assist in documenting engineering drawings, Bills of Material, and accompanying drawing packages for new / existing product, procedures, or fixtures.

Assist Sales, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Quality departments in resolving production issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:

BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 1 to 3 years of experience OR
-
MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 0 to 2 years of experience.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

U.S. Citizenship is required. Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (Secret Level) desired.

Knowledge of RF and Microwave principles.
-
Lab experience testing electronic circuits and systems (RF Testing a plus).

Ability to perform calculations, measurements, analysis, and reporting as needed to create custom RF solutions.
-
Prefer experience using RF tools such as ADS or Microwave Office or EM tools like HFSS or CST.

Familiarity with test automation techniques.
-
Proficiency in office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as required.

Familiarity with CAD systems such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
