Assistant Property Manager
Job Purpose
The Assistant Property Manager position is to assist with the Agency's mission of providing the highest quality housing for extremely low and moderate income households with a priority for special needs and senior citizen households. This mission is to be achieved by maintaining 100% occupancy with a substantial waiting list and maintain the property/tenant files in as pristine condition as possible.
Assistant Property Manager Position requires a strong work ethic, professional demeanor, self-motivation and ability to work both independently and cooperatively with others.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants, maintaining positive relationships and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Assist in managing property operations, including leasing, rent collection, maintenance coordination, and tenant communications.
- Utilize office software and systems for property management tasks and real estate administrative duties.
- Support asset manager and property managers in administrative tasks, financial reporting, and lease agreements.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient property operations and resident satisfaction.
- Assist in marketing efforts, upselling additional services, and negotiating lease terms.
- Familiarity with LIHTC, State and Federal Housing Programs and relevant laws governing property management most notably Fair Housing.
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships.
- Proficiency in office software and systems for property management tasks.
- Ability to upsell additional services and negotiate lease terms effectively.
- Knowledge of LIHTC, State and Federal Housing Programs, and real estate administrative processes.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with tenants, vendors, and team members.
