JOB SUMMARY
Manages building affairs at the John D. Price (JDP) Administration Building and associated support buildings to include board meeting preparation, switchboard, and district-wide facility usage. Serves as backup to Chief Operating Officer for operational matters related to Child Nutrition, Facility Design & Construction, Grounds & Custodial Support, Information Security, Logistical Services (Warehouse), Maintenance, Risk Management & Safety, and Transportation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assists the Chief Operating Officer in managing daily operations of the John D. Price Administration Building and associated support buildings through the direction, coordination and planning of essential central services to include but not be limited to reception, switchboard, building maintenance requests, cleaning, building usage and mailroom.
- Leads the JDP building emergency management team.
- Organizes and schedules JDP meeting spaces, including school board meetings. Plans and allocates JDP office space and communicate with vendors and contractors for required services.
- Manages usage of all schools and buildings and train District staff on facility usage procedures and software
- Serves as the backup to the Chief Operating Officer for all internal operations and collaboration with other governmental, business and community partners.
- Provides operational, analytical and personnel assistance for operations and support areas to ensure a positive, well-maintained learning and work environment that is student focused and enhances the educational process and student achievement.
- Assists in the formulation of District policies, plans and standard operating procedures for efficient and effective operations.
- Conducts professional learning opportunities for district/school leaders and staff.
- Coordinates and leads one or more teams to cover various areas of responsibility.
- Supervises the work of appropriate district-level employees and evaluate performance accordingly.
- Develops and manages budget for department and keep financial and non-financial records.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate in more than one language or the willingness to learn to communicate in more than one language at the novice level of proficiency.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, human resources management, leadership, public administration, or related field of study.
- Master’s degree (preferred)
- A minimum of seven years of professional experience in business, education administration, financial management, facilities management, human resources, public administration, non-profit management, or related field. (preferred)
Licenses or Certifications:
- Certification in School Financial Management, Facility Management, Human Resources, or other associated areas (preferred).
